Meet Kacy
Kacy began her studies with a dual focus in English and Psychology. She was a natural communicator both orally and in writing. She always enjoyed learning / exploring more about the mental processes and behavior of others. She was intrigued about the interactions and relationships of others. Even before completing her undergraduate education, Kacy knew that she wanted to continue to expand her knowledge.
An Austin native, Kacy holds a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Houston and Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law. She is Board Certified in Family Law by The Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Kacy’s professional activities and awards are extensive, including being named to the recent list of 50 Up-And-Coming Women Attorneys, the 100 Up-And-Coming Attorneys, and a Rising Star from 2013 – 2018.
An influential mentor in Kacy’s life encouraged her to look into law. During law school, Kacy had several impactful internships at the 1st Court of Appeals, the City of Austin, fortune 500 companies, and finally a top family law attorney. It was there that Kacy found her true interest in helping others through the most challenging time of their lives.
Kacy began her career in family law in 2009, working with some of the preeminent attorneys in the State of Texas, many of whom helped to form and modify current legislation in Texas. Family law has allowed Kacy the opportunity to help others in troubling times leading them through the immense complexities of the modern legal system.
Today, Dudley Law is a full service law firm representing clients throughout Central Texas. Kacy manages the firm with the help of Trey Dudley, her husband and partner of 16 years. When Kacy is not working, she enjoys spending time with her three children. She also enjoy the local music scene and travel.
Kacy graduated cum laude from the University of Houston with degrees in both English and Psychology. She attended St. Mary’s University Law School, where she was on the Dean’s List and wrote for the Scholar, St. Mary’s Law Review on Race and Social Justice.
